Girl Agenda (Ajenda ya Msichana) is an annual convening which brings together
girls from different backgrounds and girls’ rights stakeholders to celebrate girls’
achievements and highlight different challenges that hinder girls to unleash their full
potential. This forum puts girls at the center of discussions to raise their voices in
highlighting their issues and coming up with recommendations. The forum provides an
opportunity for girls from diverse backgrounds to CLAIM and HOLD SPACES for realization
of their rights.
Our theme this year is: “Who am I?: Reframing Norms and Practices in Building Confident Girls"
To gather girls from different background and girls’ rights stakeholders to dis-cuss and come up with clear resolutions and solutions to various challenges they face

decision makers and amplify their voices about urgent action needed in safeguarding
girls' rights in our community. From the first convening which took place in 2017 in
